The history of Auguszt Dynasty has formed by married couples for four generations, in the spirit of committed to the high quality confectionery. I’m Ibolya Augusztné Szőcs, and I’ve been part of this philosophy for 25 years now, with my husband on my side.
The secret of our cakes – beyond the knowledge we had in the past 150 years – are the professional movements, the precise proportions and the excellent ingredients. Our success in business is the result of professional humility and our love for our guests.
While my husband is the guardian of tradition, I’m the motor of the continuous development, and I’m the one who leads the changes in the shop and in our supply. I’m proud to say that the café that was opened in 2003 on the first floor, and our garden that was opened in 2009 are both the results of my work.
I have Transylvanian origins, so as a huge fan of natural savors I love fruity, light desserts as a confectioner, too. I travel a lot, I train myself abroad, so in my creations you can also find western innovation and eastern savors and ingredients.
I think it’s very important that beyond the traditional Hungarian cakes we offer new products, inspired by the international trends.
It’s a great honor and the recognition of our hard work that we have a lot of recurrent guests, including a lot of foreigners, who also grow our reputation all over the world. For me the biggest joy is if our guests are satisfied when they leave and say thanks for the good service. And then of course come back.
